Gladys Electronic Sign
The electronic sign for the Gladys Avenue entrance was delivered on August 20th to South High. The electronic sign was installed and working for Homecoming Weekend. Thank you to all the parents, students, staff, local organizations, businesses and residents who generously contributed to the fundraising efforts of $12,000, the cost for the sign. Now that it is installed, everyone is thrilled with this electronic sign – news, accolades, events, and upcoming meetings will be continuously displayed on the screen so that everyone will know what’s happening at South!
WAY TO GO!!! WE DID IT!!!
We did it! We raised enough for these wonderful gym banners!!!
The time has come to replace the banners in the gym that have been hanging since the late 1950's with brand-new vinyl banners that will last for many years to come! The new vinyl banners, will be 4x6 feet containing graphics and a 25 year expected life expectancy. The cost for the banners is $12,000, but thanks to our fundraising – and your help – we were able reach our goal. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make it possible in such a short time! The banners and score table were presented on January 25, 2013.
These new banners now proudly hang on our walls at South displaying the accomplishments of our South Community!
